Polish brand RONDO is kicking off its 2022 model announcements with the introduction of the 2022 Ruut X, a full-carbon “off-road speed machine” that boasts a number of mounts and clearance for 650B x 2.1″ rubber. Find details and more images here…

Poland’s RONDO Bikes (@rondo_cc) is promising to take the brand to the next level this year through what they’re calling “a series of game-changing launches,” starting with the reveal of the updated Ruut X variable geometry gravel bike. Adding to the family of Ruut models, they say it’s their most race-inspired bike yet and was built for folks who “consume on-road and off-road in equal measure; for those who are used to the speed of road bikes and are after the same kind of handling on gravel; for those who are looking to fire up their mellow trails with sporty geometry; and for those who enjoy firing up their competitive synapses at cyclocross races.”

Designed with fast and light rides in mind, the updated 2022 RONDO Ruut X features a carbon frame, fork, seatpost, and handlebars, and it comes equipped with a Shimano mixed-level GRX 1×11 drivetrain and Hunt Aero Wide Disc wheels. Complete bikes ship with svelte 33mm Schwalbe tires, but the Ruut X will clear at least 700C x 45mm or 650B x 54mm/2.1″ tires. For riders interested in bikepacking aboard the Ruut X, it features two sets of bottle mounts, top tube mounts, triple-pack mounts on each fork blade, as well as provisions for front and rear racks. Sticking with the racing-inspired design, cable routing is internal and the frame’s lines are decidedly modern. The Ruut X maintains its variable head angle and fork trail, which can be fine-tuned to offer a smidge of adjustability by putting the Twintip 2.0 fork into one of two positions.
