Following the launch of the $999 Four Corners 1 last month, the higher-end Marin Four Corners 2 has returned after a seven-year hiatus, and it’s priced at $1,999. Learn more about the brand’s latest update to their drop-bar “utilitour” platform here…

We were excited to see the budget-friendly $999 Marin Four Corners 1 announced this time last month, and the California-based brand is following it up with the more upscale Marin Four Corners 2 today, which comes in at $1,999 and features several frame and component upgrades. Like its more affordable counterpart, the new Four Corners 2 sports size-specific wheel sizes to help ensure proper fit and a tall headtube that puts the rider in a more upright riding position for all-day comfort and increased visibility.

After a seven-year hiatus in the Marin line-up, the Four Corners 2 is back and aimed toward more performance-focused riders with its Series 3 double-butted CroMo frame and fork, front and rear thru-axles, SRAM Apex 1×12 drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, and tubeless compatible rims and tires. These updates, which are mostly expected in today’s market, help differentiate it from the entry-level Four Corners 1 and reflect the standards that have changed during its time away.

Marin says they’ve gone for a slightly more progressive approach than what’s typically found in the touring bike space, with 70° to 71° headtube angles (depending on frame size), dropper post routing, wider (440 to 460mm) handlebars for added confidence and control, tons of mounts in the main triangle and on the fork, and ample frame bag space. The sizes XS and S roll on 650B wheels, and sizes M, L, and XL come with 700c wheels. Both come with 44mm tires and can clear up to 50mm rubber.
