Now available in a wide version to accommodate a pair of modern sleeping pads, the updated 2025 Tarptent StratoSpire Li is an ultralight two-person shelter made from Dyneema. Find photos and further details on all the changes here…

With a minimum weight of 30.1 ounces (853 grams) and a durable four-season Dyneema construction, the StratoSpire Li is Tarptent’s lightest and strongest two-person, double-wall shelter. The California brand just updated it for 2025, and it’s now offered in a 52-inch-wide by 86-inch-long version to more comfortably fit two side-by-side sleepers on inflatable pads. The StratoSpire Li is still designed to be set up with trekking poles, which means bikepackers will need to carry a pair of 48-inch poles to facilitate pitching it.

Beyond the expanded 52-inch width, other 2025 StratoSpire Li updates include a sag-free solid fabric and fast-drying polyester in place of nylon, four interior pockets, storm flaps for adjustable venting, an even stronger construction, and backward compatibility with previous generations. It’s built with premium materials/components throughout, including US-made Easton stakes, YKK zippers, carbon fiber struts, and Spectra cording. The StratoSpire Li boasts excellent wind performance due to its low-drag shape, steep walls that shed snow, double doors and vestibules, magnetic fly doors, high and low venting options, and more. It pitches fly-first and can be set up with six stakes in under two minutes. Packed down, the StratoSpire Li measures 16″ x 5″ x 5″ (41 x 13 x 13cm).

Pricing for the wide body with a mesh interior is $669. A wide body and solid interior pairing costs $699. You can buy the StratoSpire Li with both mesh and solid interiors for $859. Find complete details and ordering information over at Tarptent.com.
