Previously available as an optional upgrade, the Sklar SuperSomething gravel bike now ships with a color-matched carbon fork. Learn more about the latest batch of SuperSomethings and the Sklarbon Fiber Fork here…

After two decades of custom framebuilding, Adam Sklar of Sklar Bikes turned his attention to Taiwan-made production bikes, starting with the SuperSomething. I spent a few months riding the original version around Oregon, Idaho, and Colorado, and I praised its versatile and comfortable geometry, generous tire clearance, and high-end aesthetic borrowed from its US-made frames in my in-depth review.

Sklar Super Something Review
From my Sklar SuperSomething V1 Review.

The SuperSomething was updated last year with fresh tubing spec, a new SRAM UDH rear dropout, a cast Chromoly chainstay yoke instead of a dimpled tube, and flat-mount brakes on the front and back to make builds come together even easier. At the time of the SuperSomething V2 launch, the matching steel fork was still standard, but moving forward, the Sklarbon Fiber Fork comes specced on framesets and complete builds.

The Sklarbon Fiber Fork is a carbon fork with three-pack, rack, and fender mounts; a 12 x 100mm axle; and clearance for 29 x 2.1″ tires. The fork weighs just 530 grams, and Adam says it “provides light and zippy handling while still absorbing that rough gravel chatter.” If the steel fork is more your style, the paint-matched Chromoly steel fork is also available. Adam put together a helpful video that explains everything you need to know about the Sklarbon Fiber Fork and the latest SuperSomething batch. Watch it below.

Pricing for the SuperSomething starts at $1,599 USD for the frame + steel fork or $1,900 for the frame + carbon fork. Sklar offers two complete builds: a SRAM Rival AXS/GX Transmission build for $4,850 and a SRAM Red AXS build for $7,250. SuperSomethings are available in five frame sizes and two colors: Golden Hills and Atmospheric River.
