The latest issue of The Bikepacking Journal is almost here! Find a peek at Issue 07 and the free “Bikepacking the World” map we’ll be including with each copy here, along with a link to get signed up before this weekend’s deadline…

It’s that time of year again, and we’re wrapping up work on a fresh issue of The Bikepacking Journal, which we’ll be printing and shipping to our Bikepacking Collective members all around the globe next month. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time to do so! Just join before 11:59 p.m. EDT this Sunday, October 17th, and you’ll receive the upcoming Journal—and all future issues—delivered to your mailbox, anywhere in the world.

In our seventh issue’s 160 colorful pages, we accompany a new group of writers and photographers as they pedal down the Great Divide, through the Dolomites, across South Africa, around Central Asia, and more. We also honor the legacy of the late Iohan Gueorguiev, whose See the World videos inspired countless bikepackers over the years.

Bikepacking the World Map

Hand-illustrated by one of our favorite artists, Alex Hotchin (@alex_hotchin), “Bikepacking the World” is a beautifully detailed map that includes dozens of iconic bikepacking routes around the world, plus a vibrant array of rich and colorful imagery associated with the various corners of the world through which they travel. We’ll be including a 53 x 40 centimer (21 x 16 inch) version inside the mailer with each issue, printed in Germany using high-quality inks and paper. This is the third of Alex’s original maps we’ve given to our members, and we’re especially excited to share this one.
