Originally released last fall, the Ass Savers Win Wing is a two-piece mini-fender system with a plastic strut that attaches to the seat stays using built-in rubber straps. There are two versions of the Win Wing: one for road bikes with tires up to 38mm and one for larger gravel tires up to 60mm (2.35″). And without the need for fender mounts, the Win Wing fits just about any bike. Ass Savers just announced the Win Wing 2, which offers all the same benefits as the original but is said to be stronger, gentler on bikes, and for the first time, available as a blacked-out stealth version.
The Win Wing 2 has a reinforced wishbone frame that’s designed to better handle rough terrain and rowdy riding. It still uses built-in rubber straps and feet that attach directly to the seat stays, but Ass Savers is now including a set of clear polyurethane frame-saving stickers to eliminate any possibility of paint damage. Those looking to fly under the radar will appreciate the Win Wing Stealth, complete with an all-black mudguard, wishbone, and straps. However, it’s only available while supplies last.
