Made in Sweden from primarily recycled plastic, the new Ass Savers Win Wing is an ultralight clip-on mudguard that’s a little different from others we’ve seen. Find details here…

The Ass Savers Win Wing is a two-piece system with a plastic strut that attaches to the seat stays using built-in rubber straps. There are two versions of the Win Wing: one for road bikes with tires up to 38mm and one for larger gravel tires up to 60mm (2.35″). And without the need for fender mounts, the Win Wing will fit just about any bike. Ass Savers also claims that it’s stable, can handle knocks and hits, and is rattle-free. It’s also quite light, with the Road version weighing in at 64 grams and the Gravel at 72 grams.

With the gravel racing market in mind, the Ass Savers Win Wing was released just in time for the cold and wet conditions of fall and winter. According to Ass Savers, the Win Wing is positioned in the ideal location to stop water and muck when it leaves the tire. As they put it, “Water and mud leave the wheel in a straight line from the tangential point of release. By shielding the upper rear quarter of the wheel, the Win Wing eliminates spray from reaching the critical areas of the rider.” Ass Savers believe that this added comfort in a negligible 70-gram package is a win-win product, hence the name.

The Ass Savers Win Wing also has a slot in the strut made for a zip tie to lock the strap in place. This is primarily made to prevent theft, but it’s also a nice safety backup in case a branch or twig was to snag it while riding.
