We go to the foothills of Mt. Hood in Oregon, the Montañas Vacias route in Spain, and British Columbia’s East Kootenay region for today’s Weekend Snapshot, following three members of our global community on their two-wheeled campouts. Find a peek at each trip and a link to submit shots from your rides here…
Today’s Weekend Snapshot transports us to three countries to check in with bikepackers on quick getaways. This time around, our readers take us to British Columbia, Oregon, and Spain. Take a quick look at what three folks from our growing community were up to over the weekend below, and find a link to share your snapshots at the bottom of this post.
Oregon, USA

Arriving at my favorite campsite and private swimming spot on Timothy Lake, located on the foothills of Mt. Hood on a Frog Lake solo bikepacking trip.

Seven wonderful humans taking to the western slopes of the Canadian Rockies. The East Kootenay region of British Columbia is truly a magical place.
Spain

A friend planned a relaxing route through the Spanish interior, starting from the train station in Zaragoza and winding through lesser-known mountain ranges. I decided to tag along. We passed through or at least touched the provinces of Aragon, La Rioja, Castilla y Leon, and Castilla-La Mancha, eventually joining the Montañas Vacias route. Some highlights include the Alto Tajo, where the Tajo River is born, the Cañón del Río Lobos Natural Park, and the small towns we passed through such as Albarracín.
Send Us Your Weekend Snapshot
We’ll be selecting three photos per week to feature in Weekend Snapshot. Send yours along for consideration, and if it’s selected, we’ll be in touch! Note: we prefer 3:2 ratio landscape oriented photos.
