The second fat bike in Bearclaw Bicycle Co.’s range of titanium bicycles is called Bruno, a modern fat bike designed to handle all terrain types with its clearance for massive 26 x 5″, 27.5 x 4.5″, or 29 x 3.0″ tires. Learn more about the Bearclaw Bruno here…
According to Bearclaw founder Jason Lowetz, the new Bruno fat bike is, “For those who wish to extend their cycling season or take on new terrain that’s hardly considered bikeable. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a fat bike as fun, adventure-ready, and resilient as Bruno. Bruno is THE WORLD’s GREATEST FAT BIKE FRAME for year-round exploring deep, wild nature.” Jason told me the name “Bruno” is inspired by the book The Pope & The Heretic, a story about Giordano Bruno, which he learned about while watching Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.

The Bearclaw Bruno is centered around a 3AL-2.5V double-butted titanium frame with a 6AL-4V billet titanium head tube, BB, dropouts, and chainstay plate. It features adjustable rear dropouts, a SRAM UDH (universal derailleur hanger), thru-axles, and has suspension-corrected geo for 100-120mm travel suspension forks or suspension-corrected rigid fat bike forks.
The Bruno fits 26 × 4.8-5″, 27.5 × 4.5″, or 29 × 3.0″ tires and has three sets of three-pack mounts, top tube bosses, and rear rack and fender mounts. Other specs include a post-mount rear brake, internal cable routing, dropper post routing, a 31.6mm seat post, and a 100mm BSA threaded bottom bracket.
The Bearclaw Bruno is offered in four sizes (S-XL), all with a 68° head tube angle, 74° seat tube angle, 458mm chainstays, 66mm bottom bracket drop, and a 489mm fork length. Find the complete geometry chart below. All measurements are in millimeters unless otherwise noted. At first glance, it looks similar to the Panorama Torngat Ti released last fall.
