Earlier this month, Curve ambassador Oskar Moore set off on the 400-kilometer Border Run XL route in Australia with intentions of setting a new fastest known time. He shaved about 45 minutes off the previous record, and Curve just released a 20-minute video documenting his ride. Watch it here…

The Border Run XL was born following the success of the original Border Run in March. The XL version follows a 400-kilometer route from the center of Melbourne to the Victoria state border at Albury-Wodonga, passing through small towns, train station bailouts, and mostly sticking to gravel roads. Curve organized a group ride for the September equinox this year, encouraging folks to ride at their own pace, but Curve ambassador Oskar Moore had other plans.

Earlier this month, Oskar set his sights on the fastest known time (FKT) held by Jasper Albrecht. After a few setbacks, Oskar completed the trans-Victoria ride in 16 hours, 16 minutes, and 28 seconds—shaving about 45 minutes off Jasper’s time. Curve’s Social Media Manager, Ollie Jones, put together a 20-minute video showcasing Oskar’s experience, which you can watch below.

“I really love the idea of pushing your own boundaries and pushing your expectations of what you think is a normal thing to do with your day.”
