Handmade Titanium Eating Tools From Buffalo Bag

There have been plenty of hand-carved spoons to grace the pages of this website over the years, but this is the first time we’ve seen handmade titanium eating tools. To create this lovely set of custom-forged cutlery, Buffalo Bag worked with Pachara Tritipthanakul and Pongsak Wiwatrojanagul at AHU THETA Titanium Craft in Bangkok. Learn more below.

According to Buffalo Bag, the process to make the new utensils starts by drawing the pattern on 1mm grade II titanium sheet. Each individual tool is then cut out using massive heavy-duty scissors and edge-sanded with cold H20. They are then hand-forged on custom-made swage blocks, which gives them their shape and that unique hammered texture. Buffalo Bag mentioned that it’s a very slow process and that “you can’t rush the art,” but the result is that each utensil has it own unique charm.

You can buy a single tool for $50-60 or pick up the entire set of four for $150, which comes in a custom made Buffalo Bag tool roll. Find the weights and measurements of each below, which may vary slightly due to the process.
