Quietly released this morning, the new Cedaero Love Handle Panniers have been in development for a while and are finally available to purchase. Handmade in Minnesota, the Love Handle Panniers are based around a tapered triangular shape (likely to help with heel clearance), a flap closure, and a unique attachment system that uses a classic metal hook with a pin to lock the panniers in place.
Since the panniers are made to order, Cedaero offers loads of assorted add-ons. There are options to add reflective detailing, a daisy chain/shock cord area on the lid, and you have control over all of the fabrics used. In fact, you can select up to six unique colors/fabrics to fully customize your new panniers. Cedaero has a long list of colorful options in Cordura, X-Pac, and waxed canvas. The panniers are also designed around your specific rack model, so you can be sure they’ll fit.
The Love Handle Panniers have a 200-denier internal liner, a foam stiffener, a lightweight Bubble-X backer board, and blinky light loops on the front and back. Each pannier measures out to 17 x 13.5 x 5.25″ (HxWxD) and has a 16-liter capacity. They aren’t waterproof, but Cedaero claims they are extremely weather resistant thanks to the materials and their construction techniques.
The Cedaero Love Handle Panniers are available individually for $224.95 USD or as a pair for $400 USD. Reflective strips, additional colors, and other add-ons will add to the base price. They are available to order now and have a 3-4 week turnaround.
