Patagonia’s latest video, “Chunky Moments of Peace,” follows Bikepacking Journal contributor Eric Arce and his friend Shaun Price on a two-week photographic journey around the American Southwest. Watch the three-minute tribute to mountain biking, connection, and creativity here…
After connecting online during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, photographers Shaun Price and Eric Arce began dreaming of a combination mountain bike and photography road trip together. The plan was to spend two weeks driving between trail systems and biking with as many fellow BIPOC riders as possible, taking photos along the way. Years later, they finally realized their dream together and embarked on a trip across the American Southwest.
The resulting video, Chunky Moments of Peace, is a moving and visually spectacular three-minute snapshot of their journey. It showcases inspiring landscapes, friendship, technical trails, good times, and some exceptional photography. Watch it above, and don’t miss “See Us Heal,” Eric’s impactful piece from The Bikepacking Journal, linked in the Further Reading grid just below.
