Launched around this time last year, SEIDO Components is an adventure-focused component and accessory brand created as an offshoot of the Bombtrack Bicycle Company from Cologne, Germany. They offer a variety of off-road-focused items, including cargo forks, cranksets, racks, pedals, wheels, and more. The new SEIDO Acceleron sits at the top of their range of four wheelsets, and we’re excited to be giving away a pair to one randomly selected member of our Bikepacking Collective for Collective Reward #151, a €1,099 ($1,200) value for our lucky winner.
Built to handle the demands of gravel racing and trail riding, SEIDO’s lightweight Acceleron wheels are available in 650B and 700C sizes with 27mm and 21mm internal widths, respectively. Both sizes are based around asymmetric 28-spoke carbon fiber rims and centerlock disc brake SEIDO hubs with 12mm thru-axles (100mm front/142mm rear spacing). The rear hub has 3.5° of engagement and is available with an HG, XDR, or Microspline driver. The Accelerons also feature triple-butted J-bend spokes laced in a 2x pattern to make them easily serviceable. They weigh in at 1428 grams in 650B and 1532 grams in 700C. For easy setup, they come pre-installed with tubeless tape and aluminum tubeless valves.
