Building on the Covert Bar End Tubeless Repair Kit that was released in 2020, the new Covert High Riser Bar is a collaboration between Chico, California’s BTCHN’ Bikes and one of our favourite tubeless repair kit manufacturers, Dynaplug. They’ve combined a 4130 Chromoly Steel handlebar, handmade by BTCHN’ Bikes, with a special version of Dynaplug’s Covert Bar End Tool that’s fully integrated into the bar for quick access.
The bar features a 13° backsweep, 69mm rise, and is offered in three widths: 760mm, 780mm, 800mm. You have your choice of either a locally powder coated Satin Black or Cerakote H Series Armor Black Ceramic Coating. The Dynaplug-machined insert is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel welded permanently into the ends of the bar, and the Covert tool simply threads snugly into the bar. Between both sides, the bar holds four pre-loaded plugs ready to fix your tubeless pictures.
The bar includes ODI Vans Lock-on Grips, a few plug options, and is available now in limited quantities and will be produced seasonally from the forges of BTCHN’ Bikes.
