This new “analog” video provides a glimpse at what Dead Ends & Cake is all about: cycling, mountains, smiles, and cake. This short film was brought to life using 700 analog photographs taken by Jonas Traber, the event photographer during the 2021 Dead Ends & Cake. Watch it here.

The inaugural Dead Ends & Cake event brought out an even field of men and women and took riders on a 500-kilometer self-supported loop around eastern Switzerland. The hitch? There were five mandatory checkpoints at the far end of dead-end roads, where fresh cake was served. We love themed rides, and who doesn’t love cake while out bikepacking? In fact, we loved the idea so much that it got a spot in our top events of 2021. Adding to the fun, this latest video was made using several of Jonas Traber’s photos from the event.
