Hot on the heels of the 32-inch-wheeled gravel bike launched last year, DirtySixer is back with a tall-person-friendly 32-inch mountain bike, and pre-orders open today. Learn all about the DirtySixer 32″ MTB here…
DirtySixer was founded by David Folch because he wanted to design better bikes for tall people. The brand launched in 2013 with the 36-inch-wheeled DirtySixer, and in 2016, they released their first prototype with 32-inch wheels. Last year, they launched their DirtySixer Gravel Bike via a crowdfunding campaign, and they’re back with a new modern mountain bike, which is available to pre-order today.
The DirtySixer 32″ MTB is a hardtail mountain bike for tall people. It features a 6061 alloy frame, an inverted 140mm suspension fork, and is designed around, you guessed it, 32-inch wheels. The DirtySixer 32″ MTB has a long wheelbase and optimized center of gravity that provides a responsive and playful ride quality, according to David. The prototype pictured here doesn’t precisely represent the final version, which will have more modern geometry with a slacker head tube and lower top tube.

Other specs include SRAM UDH rear dropouts, internal dropper post routing, and multiple mounting points for bottles and a rear rack. It comes in three sizes: XL, XXL, and XXXL. Completes will be built up around DirtySixer double-wall alloy rims, DirtySixer hubs, flat MTB bars, and a SRAM 12-speed drivetrain. The rest of the build isn’t locked in just yet, but the estimate complete build weight is 35 pounds (16 kilograms).
The DirtySixer 32″ MTB is expected to go into production this summer with a delivery to backers in September. They are asking for a $100 deposit to obtain a VIP membership, which gets you 30% off the MSRP of $6,499 USD. Full payment must be made at the end of the campaign, which ends in a month.
