Kicking off early next month, Doom is a raw, self-supported bikepacking adventure deep in the Ozarks of Arkansas. In preparation for this year’s grand depart, organizer Andrew Onermaa put together a detailed route breakdown video. Give it a watch here…

Doom is a beautifully evil bikepacking route in the South, consisting of soul-sucking climbs, rough roads, and a whopping 43,000 feet of elevation gain. Surface types range from hardpack gravel to abandoned 4×4 roads to remote and rugged singletrack. The fourth edition of Doom kicks off in just a few weeks, and this year, the organizers are offering three distances to choose from: Doom (408 miles), Despair (196 miles), and Dismay (109 miles).
Event organizer and founder of the Ozark Gravel Cyclists Andrew Onermaa just published a detailed route overview video that goes over surface types, resupplies, camping, and a neutral aid cabin. Whether you’re participating in the grand depart on April 5th or just thinking about tackling the route, it’s worth a listen. Watch the full 38-minute video below.
