Craig from the 2nd Life Bikes YouTube channel has a new video about how he fit wider tires into his vintage mountain bike frame. Using a special tool from Konga Bicycles, he shows how he stopped the rubbing and got even rowdier. Watch the full video below…

In his latest video, Craig from 2nd Life Bikes shows off an easy way to fit bigger tires on your frame. Using a tube-dimpling tool from Konga Bicycles, he raised the maximum clearance on his Saracen Andes mountain bike. It’s a relatively simple process that involves carefully squeezing the tube until it’s thin enough for the intended tires, but he details it in a fun and interesting way.

The tool itself is simple. Made up of five pieces, the Konga Bicycles dimple tool is designed to dimple and reshape bicycle tubing. It comes with four interchangeable dies—flat, round, asymmetrical, and bullet-shaped—and can be used with a G-clamp or a pair of mole grips, making it equally useful in a professional workshop, home garage, or garden shed. While it’s currently still unavailable, Stayer Cycles says the tool has been made, and they’re just waiting to accept the shipment for stock.
