Back in the summer of 2015, Alice Drobna was not only the first woman to complete the Triple Crown challenge of bikepacking, but she was also the first person to complete the three-race series on a singlespeed. Gnomathon is a 450-kilometer bikepacking ride following a mix of flowy gravel roads and narrow singletrack through the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. Designed as a training ride for the Highland Trail 550, the North Wales 400 is a challenging singletrack-heavy bikepacking event that starts and finishes in Flintshire, United Kingdom. Rob Waller, a veteran bikepacker and six-time finisher of the Highland Trail 550, finished third at this year’s event with a time of 71 hours and 34 minutes. Emil Carr-Ross became the first woman to finish the 2023 L’Esperit de Girona event in Spain yesterday, finishing the 800-kilometer route in 8 days, 11 hours, 10 minutes. Learn more about her ride here…
The New Colo is a self-supported, mixed-surface bikepacking adventure traversing a diverse and rugged ecosystem along the border of Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico.
