The new EVOC Hydro Pro is a mix between a hydration pack and a lightweight vest that looks well-suited to long rides and self-supported events. Learn more about the 1.5L and 3L versions of this new pack here…
Although we’re big fans of getting gear off our backs and onto our bikes, there are a number of situations when wearing a small backpack or hydration vest makes sense while bikepacking. With that in mind, EVOC’s latest addition to their massive lineup of packs looks like a great one for anyone who needs to add some extra storage or haul more water in a minimalist, lightweight package.
The new EVOC Hydro Pro is designed specifically with cycling in mind and is a hybrid between a hydration pack and a lightweight vest. It has a large zippered main compartment for stashing the included water bladder or some small items, there are two 150ml mesh pouches on the shoulder straps, and it also has additional zippered pockets (two on the 3L version) under the mesh pouches for additional storage. The Hydro Pro is smaller than your average backpack, keeping the lower back unobstructed and leaving easy access to jersey pockets while riding. The 1.5L model has 0.3L of storage in the single zippered shoulder pocket and 1.2L of storage in the main compartment (with the bladder filled). The 3L model has 1L of storage between the two zippered shoulder pockets and another 2L of storage in the main compartment.
