Bits & Bobs
New products that are worth highlighting but didn’t make the Dispatch…
Starling Cycles Clutch Stem
Made in Taiwan / £145.83 at Starling Cycles
Designed with Starling style in mind, the new Clutch Stem is handmade from heat-treated, brazed steel, has no fancy CNC bits or weight-saving tactics, and is designed to hold your bar in place. It has a 35mm length, 0° rise, 31.8mm clamp, and is available in all current and legacy Starling colours. Each stem is painted to order, so customers will need to allow two to four weeks while they get painted.
Wilde Supertramp Update
Made in Taiwan / $1,300 to $2,900 USD at Wilde

The Wilde Supertramp is getting an update that covers a number of interesting details. With a new color, Wilde’s flagship bikepacking rig also has a slight reduction in the headtube diameter and native UDH compatibility. Thanks to our ongoing trade wars, however, the bike will increase ever so slightly in price with framesets costing $1,300 USD, and completes starting at $2,900. We’ve also seen founder Jeff Frane mention that they’re working on a wider, slightly more spacious framebag for the bike, so be on the lookout for the release of those soon.
Fresh Colors from Randi Jo Fab
$35+ at Randi Jo Fabrications

Randi Jo Fabrications’s Bartender lineup just got a glow-up, and the bags are now offered in a variety of new colors inspired by their favorite Oregon flora. They brought in some lovely linen fabrics colors from a new local supplier, too, which are now available on the best cycling caps ever.
Peak Performance Mountain Bike Collection
$30 to $300 at Peak Performance

Peak Performance, the Scandinavian mountain brand rooted in freeride skiing, launched an all-new mountain bike apparel collection in men’s and women’s styles earlier this month. It’s part of a larger release that they say blends cutting-edge design with technical excellence across trail sports, including hiking, biking, and running. There are dozens of new pieces available in a range of neutral colors.
Otso Warakin in Blue Snow and Burnt Ochre
Made in Taiwan / $1,450+ at Otso Cycles
Introduced last year, the steel Otso Warakin shares all the same features as the titanium and stainless versions but comes in a lower price point. It has adjustable geometry, several mounts for cargo and fenders, clearance for 50mm tires, suspension-corrected geometry, and can be built with gears or as a singlespeed. Otso just added two fresh color options for 2025, Blue Snow and Burnt Ochre, and both are available now as framesets and complete bikes.
Stridsland Teases New Retro MTB Cranks
Made in Taiwan / $TBD at Stridsland

According to an Instagram post from Stridsland in Denmark, the owner Matias Stridsland has been working on the “ultimate CNCed, anodized, square tapered, ‘retro mtb’ cranks.” There are still some refinements to make, but prototypes and lab testing are up next, and we’ll make sure to share more info as this project develops.
Mason Exposure in “Accursed Ochre”
Made in Europe / £2,150+ at Mason Cycles

We’re not sure if the color “ochre” was listed in some kind of “hottest colors of 2025 database,” but Mason is expanding their Accursed Ochre finish to include the Exposure gravel bike. Mason developed the Exposure for “fast, long-distance, and multi-month adventure touring over very variable and unpredictable terrain.” It has loads of mounts, clearance for 27.5 x 2.35″ or 700 x 50mm tires, plenty of premium details, and is entirely made in Europe.
Firefly Titanium ATB
AKA “Lovehandles” (#FF1443)
Not much more to say about Firefly’s 1,443rd bike other than, “Wow!” This titanium ATB they posted on their social media channels is a stunner, complete with some mesmerizing details, wild handlebars, and detailed finish work. Congrats to whoever’s taking it home!

Curve Belgie Celebration and Promotion
Made in China / $4,700+ at Curve

In celebration of Curve’s founder, Jesse Carlsson, winning the Trans-Am Bike Race 10 years ago, Curve is offering promotional pricing on the Belgie titanium road bike for a limited time. The sale includes SRAM Force + Rival complete Belgie DISCS and ULTRAS and are about 10% ($1,000) off. The Rival builds start at $4,724 USD and Force costs $5,671, excluding sales tax and duties.
Wilde Rambler Framebags from Cedaero
Made in USA / $270+ at Wilde

Wilde Bikes has collaborated again with Cedaero in Minnesota on a full-frame bag made to perfectly fit the Wilde Rambler gravel bike. Each bag is fully featured with a non-drive-side map pocket and a lace up top. Bags are designed to mount to the three-pack and bottle mounts on the down and top tubes of the corresponding frame size. They are made to order and usually take two or three weeks to produce.
Red Forager Cable Cherries
Made in USA / $20.60 at Forager Cycles

Surprisingly, the nifty little Cable Cherries from Forager Cycles have never been available in red, but they are now. Cable Cherries are durable, reusable cable ends, and because they’re spherical and easy to grab, they make adjusting cable tension or swapping components easier. They are CNC machined from aluminum bar in Port Townsend, Washington, and use high-strength stainless steel set screws.

Tried-and-True Standards?

Lucas’s review of Paul’s refreshed 100% Pure Cranks this week generated some great discussion around the pitfalls and advantages of the now-antiquated square taper bottom bracket standard. This has us wonder, what other older standards do you swear by? What bike tech hill are you willing to die on, or what do you feel passionate about never using again? Rogue Panda Shipping Policy Update

Effective April 25th, 2025, Rogue Panda’s USA “Free Shipping” threshold changes from $100 USD to $300 USD. “We have long had the lowest free shipping threshold of the small-scale bikepacking brands, and we can’t continue to absorb that cost on lower-value orders.” They’re also updating their international and Canada shipping policies, which you can read more about here.
