As I was tallying the fuel costs of driving to a wedding in Virginia this past weekend, I was pretty happy that I don’t regularly drive a car. According to Ryan Van Duzer, the average person who drives a car spends about $10,000 per year on fuel and maintenance—and that average was calculated prior to the massive price hikes that have happened recently.
