As an added bonus for Bikepacking Collective members, we commissioned one of our favorite artists, Alex Hotchin, to make a beautiful fold-out map of the Iceland Divide route that we’ll be including with all copies of The Bikepacking Journal 11. We’re happy to share the news that all of our Bikepacking Collective members will find a copy of Australian artist Alex Hotchin’s new hand-drawn Iceland Divide map tucked inside their copy of the upcoming 11th issue of The Bikepacking Journal later this year. She sent over some shots of the work in progress, and we’re eagerly awaiting the finished full-color version.

Alex Hotchin, Iceland Divide Map

Alex’s latest hand-illustrated creation showcases Iceland’s stunning topography, natural highlights, and some notable points of interest found along the stunning Iceland Divide bikepacking route, which spans more than 550 kilometers and traverses the rugged interior of the country from north to south. Longtime members will be able to hang their Iceland Divide map alongside their Tour Divide, Baja Divide, and “A Guide to Bikepacking the World” maps from Alex. We absolutely love her work, and we can’t wait to get another exclusive piece out to our members across the globe!

As always, we’ll spare no in the production of this fold-out map, which will be printed at the same world-class printer where we print The Bikepacking Journal in Germany. It will be printed on an offset press using high quality glossy paper and inks and will measure around 21″ wide by 16″ tall (54cm by 40cm). As long as you’re signed up as a member of the Bikepacking Collective by tomorrow’s cutoff, you’re all set to receive one of these beautiful maps!
