Episode six of the Loam and Gravel Society video series from Old Man Mountain transports viewers to the banks of the Metolius River in Oregon for some pedal-powered fly fishing and camping. Watch the 20-minute video and see a handful of still photos from behind the scenes here…

Loam and Gravel Society Co-presidents Karl and Rachael head out to Central Oregon for the latest installment of Old Man Mountain’s eight-part video series, joining friend Gracie for a couple of days of fly fishing in the crystal clear waters of the Metolius River. The Metolius is spring-fed and flows out of Black Butte, and it’s first 12 miles are catch-and-release only. All of the fish in its waters are wild, as it hasn’t been stocked since 1990. Today, there are wild populations of Kokanee salmon, bull trout, rainbow trout, and others. You can watch as the crew tries their best to navigate the Metolius’ tricky currents on a bikefishing adventure in the vide below.
