Directed and produced by our friend Lian van Leeuwen (@saltlake_lian), Mbogi Amani is a new short film that tells the story of the inaugural AMANI Migration Gravel Race from the perspective of local riders Sule Kangani, Nancy Debe Akinyi, Kenneth Karaya, John Kariuki, and Geoffrey Langat. Beyond sharing their personal stories from the event, Mbogi Amani aims to capture the broader hopes, dreams, and potential of the gravel racing community in East Africa. The riders on Team AMANI and the many people in the region who they’ve inspired are ready to change the face of cycling, and this beautifully shot film makes a clear case that a lack of opportunities is the only thing holding them back.
