Chile-based bagmaker Choike just released a nifty-looking rack harness complete with a plastic base, adjustable straps, and slots to integrate perfectly with Topeak’s QuickTrack system. Learn more about the Choike Grill Harness here…
Using a lightweight rear rack as part of your bikepacking setup is a great way to eliminate saddle bag sway, reclaim full dropper post travel, and, depending on the rack, allow the use of mini panniers and cargo cages when extra capacity is needed. Strapping a dry bag directly to the rack’s platform can work, but most racks have gaps and openings that can slowly wear through your bag. That’s where the new Choike Grill Harness comes in.

Choike is a bagmaker from Santiago, Chile, and their new Grill Harness is a simple harness designed specifically to make loading and unloading a rear rack setup easier. It’s made from a high-density flexible polymer base and three webbing luggage straps. The base has a handful of slots to mix around the strap positions, and there are slots to slide onto Topeak’s QuickTrack rack system, although it can be strapped onto any rack using any type of cargo strap.
The Choike Grill Harness is 33cm long by 13cm wide (13 x 5″) and weighs 150 grams (5.3 ounces). It costs approximately $32 USD and Choike ships worldwide. See more at ChoikeBags.com.
