The new Pashley Skyline is a mini velo with a UK-made steel frame and fork, clearance for 20 x 2.3″ tires, and angles that make it suitable for pavement, paths, and light gravel. Dig into the details here…
Small-wheeled bikes, or mini velos, have a long history of excelling in tight spaces and as city commuters, and they are a realistic option for travel or apartment living. Over the last few years, several bicycle brands have introduced their take on the mini velo, and it’s promising to see modern interpretations complete with big tire clearance, capable geometry, and functional build kits. The latest brand to join in on the mini velo fun is Pashley Bikes from the UK.

The new Pashley Skyline is a Reynolds steel mini velo designed around 20″ wheels and a UK-made frame and fork. It’s equally suitable for city commutes as it is for cross-country tours. According to Pashley’s CEO, Andy Smallwood, “This bike is all about maximizing the unique experience you get from a small-wheeled bike. You could be riding through the city, local village, commuting to work, or just out for fun—simply enjoying the exhilaration you get on two wheels. The Skyline Mini Velo will let you (re)discover the joy of cycling, whilst fitting in with your lifestyle, and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. For some, it will be the N+1; for everyone else, it will be the only one.”
Handmade from a mix of Reynolds 725, 631, and 525 double-butted steel tubing, the Skyline can run a derailleur, be set up singlespeed, or use internally geared hubs. The frame features dropper post routing, numerous mounting points, and, due to its long top tube, can accommodate both flat-bar and drop-bar setups. It can fit up to 20 x 2.3″ tires, with proper clearance for knobby off-road rubber or slicks for paved riding.
Frame specs include a 68mm threaded bottom bracket, 12mm thru-axles with a bolt-on rear dropout, external cable routing with adjustable cable guides, and a straight 1 1/8″ headtube. The frame and fork are TIG welded at Pashley HQ in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Dig into the complete geometry chart below.
