Posedla, the maker of the first totally custom 3D-printed saddle, is expanding its saddle range with three new models. Learn about the new Posedla Joyseat Plus, Joyseat Pro, and Joyseat Ultra here…
Although 3D-printed saddles aren’t entirely new, Czechia-based Posedla was the first to offer a custom 3D-printed saddle. They rely on an interesting process of collecting a real-world butt imprint, a short questionnaire, and a fancy algorithm to produce a saddle that’s designed specifically for your individual needs and characteristics. I tested a Posedla Joyseat of my own, and despite a slightly unconventional look, I can attest to its potential merits for anyone struggling to find a comfortable saddle.
Posedla previously only had a single model/price point to choose from when ordering a saddle, but for 2025, they are expanding their range to include three models. The range includes the Joyseat Plus, Joyseat Pro, and Joyseat Ultra, and all three use the same Multi-Jet Fusion 3D printing technology combined with Posedla’s proprietary algorithm that adjusts saddle size, shape, and stiffness for a bespoke saddle.
Posedla Joyseat Plus
The Joyseat Plus is the most affordable saddle option Posedla has offered. It features a polymer shell and stainless steel rails, which increases durability and allows for a higher rider weight limit (120 kilograms/265 pounds). The saddle weight starts at 220 grams, and it’s available for $349 (€349/£289). As always, it includes the Smiling Butt Kit and full customer support throughout the fitting process.
Posedla Joyseat Pro
The Joyseat Pro is Posedla’s flagship premium carbon fiber saddle. It features a twill carbon shell and unidirectional (UD) carbon rails, and based on customer feedback, they’ve designed a more anatomically contoured shape as well as a narrower nose for better leg clearance. The structure of the saddle has a refined lattice density on the padding and improved carbon base, increasing both durability and responsiveness. The Joyseat Pro starts at 165 grams and costs $489 (€489/£389).
Posedla Joyseat Ultra
At the top end of the new range is the Joyseat Ultra, which Posedla says is its most technologically advanced saddle to date. It uses a specific carbon layup that’s specifically engineered for strength and stiffness and is made using a reinforced UD carbon fiber shell and rails. It’s the strongest saddle in the range but also the lightest, coming in at just 155 grams. It’s pricey at $549 (€549/£439), but perhaps that’s the cost of a high-performance, totally custom saddle.
