London’s Wizard Works just released a new collection of bags made from the ultimate retro tech fabric, UltraGrid. The bags are available in two colors on a couple of Wizard Works’ most popular bags and one brand-new frame bag design. Check it out here…
Launched in 2022 by Challenge Sailcloth, UltraGrid fabric is a modern take on a classic technical fabric. It’s woven at a Bluesign-approved facility with 210-denier recycled nylon yarn from pre-consumer industrial waste. Not only does the grid pattern provide exceptional tear-strength, but it’s also a nod to the early days of technical fabrics.
Teased at Bespoked UK this week, Wizard Works in London has honed in on UltraGrid for the backbone of their latest mini collection. The collection is available in two colors, black and avocado, and includes two of Wizard Works’ most popular bags, Lil Presto Barrel Bag and Teeny Houdini Saddle Bag, and introduces a new to Wizard Works, the retro-inspired, Triangle Frame Bag.

The new Triangle Frame Bag features elastic lacing as per the other frame bags in the Wizard Works range, a slick RiRi chunky zip, and 1.5L of snack-holding capacity. It’s available in two angles (78° and 82°) that refer to the angle between the seat tube and top tube. The hardshell Lil Presto Barrel Bag is a great day-ride companion, available in two sizes (1.8L and 3.4L), and the Teeny Houdini Saddle Bag (one size) is the perfect bag for stowing away a tube and tools. Wizard Works has also selected four of their favorite shades of UltraGrid: Avocado, Berry, Coyote, and Black, which are now available to add to any of their custom bags.
As for pricing, the Lil Presto costs £62 (small) or £68 (regular), the Teenie Houdini costs £47, and the new Triangle Frame Bag costs £80. All bags in the collection are made with a mix of UltraGrid and Cordura for the exterior, with a bright orange polyester liner fabric.
