Nordest calls their new titanium 32er an “explosive cocktail of pure madness.” The Nordest Gimonde Ti 32er clears 2.4″ tires, has plenty of mounting points, and is made from double-butted titanium tubing. Check it out here…

Nordest is the latest brand to hop on the 32-inch bandwagon, releasing a 32-inch rigid titanium downcountry bike they call the Gimonde Ti 32. According to Nordest, it was designed for riders to enjoy the up, the down, and everything in between. “This is a bike built for wandering, for spontaneous detours, and for turning an ordinary weekend into something worth telling stories about.”

Nordest designed the Gimonde Ti 32 from the ground up. It’s centered around a double-butted Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium frame, SRAM UDH rear dropouts, a T47 bottom bracket, and a 31.6mm seatpost with dropper routing. The frame has rack mounts, downtube mounts, and two standard bottle mounts, with external cable routing to keep maintenance simple.

The Gimonde Ti 32 comes in only two sizes: ML and L. Both feature a 76° seat tube angle, 66° head tube angle, 468mm chainstays, and a 102mm bottom bracket drop. It’s designed around a 490mm rigid fork and 530mm axle-to-crown suspension forks (~130mm of travel). The optional stock carbon fork has an adjustable rake, dynamo routing, three-pack mounts, and a light mount.

The Story Behind the Name

Here’s how Nordest describes the story behind the Gimonde name: “Nestled in the heart of Trás-os-Montes, just a few kilometers from Bragança, the small village of Gimonde occupies a privileged place in both the geography and the collective memory of this austere yet generous land. Its location is no accident: the village sits at the confluence of two rivers, the Sabor and the Onor, whose waters meet in a natural embrace that for centuries made this corner of the world an inevitable landmark for all who traveled the roads of the northeastern transmontane region.”
