Otso just released a new version of its carbon gravel model, the Waheela R. Capable of running 700 x 50mm tires, the Otso Waheela R is poised as a race-oriented gravel bike. For more on this new model, check out all the details below…
Following the burlier Waheela C, the new Otso Waheela R was designed for performance and speed. With longer, slacker geometry for stability at high speeds and short chainstays to keep a more agile feel, the Waheela R has an aerodynamic tubing profile, clearance for 700 x 50mm tires, and an option for fully internal routing. The bike also has three bottle mounts and a built-in storage compartment on the front triangle.
The frame and fork on the Waheela R are designed to accommodate full- or semi-internal routing. The fully internal option via handlebar entry keeps routing completely hidden, and the two semi-internal options—either through the headset cap or through downtube frame ports—are available for easier serviceability. The bike is also UDH compatible and includes an internal storage sleeve. The new Waheela features mounts on the top tube, three cage mount positions on the front triangle, one on the underside of the downtube, and front and rear fender mounts. There are some extra threaded bolt positions on the underside of the top tube for compatibility with bolt-on partial frame bags, too.
