The Tall & Handsome seatpost from Paul Component Engineering has become a cult classic in the years since its release, appearing on all kinds of highly considered rigs. I’ve swapped mine between many bikes since picking it up in 2020, as it’s dependable, good-looking, and easy to adjust. The Tall & Handsome’s 26mm setback doesn’t work with every bike, however, and I’m among the many riders who’ve hoped for (and asked about) a zero-setback version.
Paul answered the call with today’s release of the new Tall & Elegant seatpost, which offers the same strength and simplicity of the Tall & Handsome but without the setback. It hasn’t lost any of the smooth micro-adjustability, and it’ll still work with carbon rails. Milled from 2024/6061 Aluminum in Paul’s Chico, California, workshop, the Tall & Elegant is offered in 27.2, 30.9, 31.6mm diameters and Black, Purple, Polished, or Silver colors. As with its predecessor, the new seatpost doesn’t come cheap. It’s priced at $236.50 ($294.95 for the Polished version), landing it firmly in the boutique category.
