Teased at Sea Otter this year, the new PNW Components LTD Loam Dropper and Rainier Dropper are finished in a shiny, anodized silver, and supplies are limited! Learn more about them here…
PNW Components brought a sample of a new anodized silver Rainier dropper post to Sea Otter this year to gauge interest. There was a lot of it, so we knew it was only a matter of time before PNW brought them to market. As of today, the wait is over! PNW Components’ latest limited edition drop includes the LTD Loam Dropper and Rainier Dropper, both finished with a unique silver anodized finish guaranteed to turn heads.
Both dropper posts are identical to the originals, including a lifetime warranty, but are a whole lot shinier. The LTD Loam Dropper has a polished silver finish, while the LTD Rainier has a touch of sandblasting for a slightly more subdued finish. Both posts feature hard-anodized silver stanchions developed over the summer to offer the same durability as standard black stanchions. PNW worked closely with its anodizing partner to develop a testing process to ensure it would hold up to the dirt and grime of mounting biking—and it did.
The PNW LTD Loam Dropper features an adjustable air cartridge, a 30.9mm or 31.6mm diameter, and three travel lengths: 150mm, 170mm, and 200mm. It’s compatible with all PNW levers and most cable-actuated levers from other brands and has a 26mm stanchion diameter. The LTD Rainier uses a standard internal cartridge, only comes in a 27.2mm diameter, and has two travel options: 100mm and 125mm. The Rainier’s stanchion is 22mm, and just like the Loam dropper, it’s compatible with a wide range of levers. As with the standard versions of both posts, they come with travel adjust up to 25mm in 5mm increments for fine-tuning your fit.
The LTD Loam Dropper costs $219, just $20 more than the standard version, and the LTD Rainier Dropper is priced at $209. Both are available in limited quantities and only available while supplies last. Neither include a lever or cable/housing, but PNW has those available at checkout.
