We’re happy to announce that we’ll be including a large format, hand-illustrated map of the Baja Divide with every copy of the upcoming fourth issue of The Bikepacking Journal. See a sneak peek and details here…
Our own Cass Gilbert is returning for another issue of The Bikepacking Journal, our biannually printed publication, to share a feature story from his recent trip along Mexico’s ~1,700-mile Baja Divide Route, which runs the length of the Baja Peninsula. To accompany his story, we’ve commissioned illustrator Alex Hotchin (whose beautiful Great Divide Mountain Bike Route map you’ll no doubt remember from the previous issue) to create another unique hand-drawn map for us. And we’ll be including a free copy of her latest large-scale map—this one’s roughly 35cm x 50cm (13.75″ x 20″)—with every issue of The Bikepacking Journal 04.
If you’re not a Bikepacking Collective member yet, get signed up before 11:59 pm EST on Friday, April 17th deadline to secure your copy. That’s just a week away! By joining, you’ll also help us curate and create high-quality, daily content for the entire bikepacking community, have a chance to win our frequent Collective Reward prize drawings, and receive two issues of The Bikepacking Journal in the mail each year, among other benefits. This site is largely made possible by our members and we appreciate everyone who has backed us. Thanks for your support!
Note: The map you see here is a work in progress, but we were too excited to wait any longer to give you a preview. Also, if you want to learn more about The Bikepacking Journal, we invite you to look inside the first, second, and third issues. And check out our Bikepacking Journal Manifesto to read more about our goals for the publication.
Please keep the conversation civil, constructive, and inclusive, or your comment will be removed.
