The new Priority Gemini is a low-maintenance gravel bike equipped with a Pinion Smart.Shift internal gearbox, responsive geometry, and your choice of an aluminum or titanium frame. Find all the details here…
Quitely released over the weekend, the new Priority Gemini is a titanium or aluminum gravel bike centered around a Pinion Smart.Shift internal gearbox. Unlike traditional Pinion drivetrains, Smart.Shift combines its mostly maintenance-free gearbox with the advantages of push-button electronic shifting. With Smart.Shift, you can shift while riding, stationary, and under load, changing gears in 0.2 seconds regardless of conditions or drivetrain load.
The Priority Gemini is available with an aluminum or titanium frame in a single complete build kit. It’s built up around TRP hydraulic brakes, a lightly flared drop bar, WTB Vulpine 700 x 40mm tires, and a carbon seatpost. Both models come equipped with a mountless carbon fork, and the frame is dropper compatible. There are rear rack mounts, two standard bottle mounts, and additional mounts under the downtube and on the top tube. A complete medium aluminum build weighs 26.5 pounds (12 kilograms), and the titanium weighs 25.5 pounds (11.6 kilograms).
According to Priority, the Gemini has responsive geometry that’s more comfortable than a dedicated gravel race bike but offers more performance than a big-tired monstercross bike. Across the four sizes, it has a 70° head tube angle, 73.5° seat tube angle, 437mm chainstays, a wheelbase ranging from 1027mm to 1085mm, and a 275-pound rating (rider, bike, and cargo combined). It can accommodate up to 700 x 50mm tires, which seems slightly narrow for a low-maintenance adventure gravel bike, and it would have been great to see more utility designed into the fork.
The aluminum Gemini complete build costs $3,499.99 USD, and the titanium model will set you back $5,499.99. Both are available for pre-order now, with the aluminum version expected to ship by June 30th and the titanium by July 31st. Priority gives the option to ship directly to the customer, to a local bike shop, or bikes can be picked up directly from their New York City showroom.
