Rounding out the acquisition of Porcelain Rocket’s welded gear lineup is the new Rockgeist 52Hz waterproof frame bag, which is now available in two designs based around modern gravel and mountain bikes. Learn all about it here…

I think all of us here at would agree that the original release of the Porcelain Rocket 52Hz frame bag marked a pivotal moment in the era of fully waterproof bikepacking bags. In fact, the 52Hz was the world’s first fully waterproof frame bag, based around the roll-top design found on Porcelain Rocket’s original Orbiter roll-top frame pack. Since Rockgeist’s acquisition of the Porcelain Rocket brand, their team has slowly been re-releasing the waterproof line-up, and the 52Hz frame bag is the final piece of the puzzle.

It has taken the Rockgeist team nearly two years to get the equipment and training completed for 52Hz, but they’re pleased to announce that they now have in-house welding capability on these waterproof framebags, allowing them to expand on the universal size offerings and help minimize out-of-stock inventory. Today, they have sizes built for two main geometry types: modern gravel and mountain bike shapes. After the dust settles, they’ll be releasing a Salsa Cutthroat-specific 52Hz. If interested, you can sign up for the size you need here.

While the overall design of the 52Hz remains the same, Rockgeist has swapped out the Voile straps for Mil-spec webbing and side-release buckles. There are two fixed hook and loop straps that attach to the top tube, two fixed hook and loop straps along the seat tube, and a daisy chain along the downtube to dial in the position of the downtube straps.
