British Columbia-based ROMR Gear’s mission is to design dependable gear for demanding backcountry trips, and they’ve been teasing a new tent for a few weeks in advance of today’s Indiegogo launch. The ROMR Gear Elite2 is a two-person backcountry tent made with durability and performance in mind. Available in either a Sil/Poly or Dyneema construction, the Elite2 uses a single-wall hybrid construction, sets up quickly, and pitches with two poles and no mandatory stakes.
Both versions of the ROMR Gear Elite2 tent have dual vents that can be opened from the inside, two large vestibules, and a 50″ x 86″ (127 x 219cm) floor area. They use DAC Featherlight poles, a Sil/Poly base, and your choice of a 20D Sil/Poly or 1oz Dyneema fly. The polyester versions (Elite2) weighs 2.8 pounds (1270g) and the Dyneema version (Elite2 Pro) weighs 2.1 pounds (952g).
