Earlier this week, the BBC’s Travel section featured a report from Jen Rose Smith, who pedaled part of our Route of Caravans across beautiful Morocco. Find a link to read it here…

First scouted a decade ago by Logan Watts and completed by Evan Christenson last year, our Route of Caravans is a sprawling 1,300-mile dirt traverse of Morocco that spans the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert, and the High Atlas. Made possible thanks to support from members of the Bikepacking Collective, it’s a standout among the roughly 125,000 miles of routes with accompanying guides we’ve published around the world.

A couple of readers wrote in yesterday to let us know that it was highlighted on the BBC this week in a piece titled “Morocco’s new cross-country cycling route.” In it, Vermont-based writer Jen Rose Smith shares an overview of the Route of Caravans and some thoughtful impressions from the nine days she spent riding part of it, weaving in perspectives from others who have tackled it.

With our thanks to the author, you can read the full piece over on the BBC.
