Alongside Shimano’s announcement of their new Deore 12-Speed components came updates to Deore 11 and 10-Speed drivetrains. Find all the details and photos here…
Shimano’s Deore 11- and 10-speed components have seen some pretty major updates to coincide with the new Deore 12-speed drivetrain we just announced here. Most notably, the massive new 11-speed 11-51T wide range cassette and a completely redesigned 11-speed rear derailleur. Unlike Deore 12-speed, the 11-speed 11-51T cassette still uses a standard HG freehub body, which may entice those who haven’t upgraded to a new standard, like SRAM’s XD and Shimano’s Micro Spline freehubs. Don’t be surprised to see the budget-level Deore 11-speed drivetrain specced on affordable hardtail mountain bikes for 2021. Find a quick breakdown of the new 5100 and 4100 series components below. Pricing, weights, and availability should be announced in the next few weeks.
