The new Shimano PD-EH510 is a dual-sided hybrid pedal that lets users switch between clipless and flat-pedal riding. With a resin pedal body and textured finish intended to help protect against rock strikes and abrasions, it has a thin profile that Shimano says improves ground clearance on technical terrain, in tight corners, and over off-road obstacles.
Designed for riders who want to avoid swapping between clipless and flat pedals, the PD-EH510 seems ideal for commuters or anyone looking to bridge the gap for bikes they’re comfortable riding with either engagement style. The pedal measures 111 mm x 96 mm and has eight pins per side for grip and control. These pedals use the same bushing-bearing construction as most others in their lineup.
