Significant Other bikes channel lived experiences and tell stories, with each showpiece carrying fabricator Ashley King’s perspective as a quiet imprint of where she’s come from and where she’s heading. That idea sits at the heart of the Ded Reckin, a new model named for the art of locating yourself by accounting for where you’ve already been. It draws on elements from every stage of Ashley’s fabrication journey and reflects her evolving aesthetic.
The Ded Reckin marks an exciting new chapter for Significant Other as the first production model, still designed and welded by Ashley and her team in Denver, Colorado. It’s designed around a Grade 9 titanium front triangle and a 304 stainless steel and 4130 steel rear triangle, with 120mm of rear suspension and a 130mm-travel fork. The Ded Reckin has clearance for 29 x 2.5″ tires, boost hub spacing, a UDH rear dropout, and a 73mm threaded bottom bracket. Other specs include a 30.9mm seatpost with internal dropper routing, room for a 36T chainring, and external cable routing along the top of the downtube.
The machined frame parts (rocker, lower shock mounts, main pivot bolt, and co-axial brake mount) are manufactured by Ashley’s 3D printing partner in Shanghai. Ashley is offering a Prosise Metal Works Machining Mod that lets riders have those parts made by my friend, Adam Prosise, in Colorado. The Prosise Mod is a $500 add-on cost.
Ded Reckin Build Kits
To keep things manageable in Ashley’s one-woman shop, and thank the brands that supported the prototype bike, the parts listed in the complete build kit are not customizable beyond the Carbon Mod. The MADE Aluminum Complete build listed below costs $7,900 USD. The Carbon Mod Complete build adds in HUNT Proven Carbon Trail H_Core wheels, a TRP EVO 12 Carbon Crankset, and a BikeYoke Barmate Carbon handlebar and costs $9,044 USD. Frames are also available for $3,400 USD, and the frame, fork, shock, and headset are available for $5,059. All options are made and Cerakoted in the Significant Other studio in Denver, Colorado.

Ded Reckin Geoemtry
The Ded Reckin is offered in six frame sizes, all with a 65° head tube angle (64.5° on the smallest size), 76° seat tube, 35mm bottom bracket drop, and 430 to 450mm chainstays. When one of her designers asked if she liked how it pedaled, Ashley laughed, “I LOVE how it pedals. It’s basically pedal-assist. It just wants to GO.” Check out the complete geo chart below.
