Silca just released two new electric mini pumps, but due to prohibitive tariffs blocking broader U.S. market access, the Elettrico Ultimate and Micro pumps were launched globally, limiting availability in the United States to just 100 units. You can find all the details here…

Yep, you heard that right, the U.S. brand Silca just released two new products, but due to prohibitive tariffs, they’re unable to fully launch the new Elettrico Ultimate and Elettrico Micro pumps to the U.S. market. As a result, only 100 units will be made available to riders in the United States, while the global cycling community will have full access. Read on for details.

As mentioned in our previous Sea Otter roundup, electronic pumps had a moment at the show. Several brands launched a version during the event, and the new Silca Eletrrico pumps were being quietly displayed for media. We were able to get a glimpse of them, but a week later, Silca let us know that there was a hitch. In their press statement, Silca states that, “Due to the significant impact of current United States tariff policies on imported goods, these products are not economically viable for sale within the US market currently. This unfortunately means that SILCA’s largest historical market will not have immediate access to these groundbreaking pumps. SILCA remains hopeful that these trade barriers will be resolved in the future to allow US cyclists access to the Elettrico series.”

This was sad to hear, as we know it was a big launch for Silca, plus their iteration seemed to be one of the most promising of the electronic mini pumps we saw. Here are the specs and details from their press release:

  • Micro Size, Macro Performance, Floor Pump Replacing Power: The Elettrico’s miniature design redefines portability without compromising power. Slip it into your jersey pocket or Mattone saddlebag and hit the road. Flying to any destination gravel events just got way easier with floor pump power able to fit in your pocket.
  • Fast and Effortless Inflation: With a powerful motor the Silca Elettrico’s inflate tires rapidly, getting you back in the saddle or out of the garage in about 30 seconds.
  • Digital Precision: The Elettrico Ultimate features a clear digital display showing real-time pressure readings accurate to ~1%. Easily set your desired pressure (3-100psi) with the touch of a button and achieve perfect inflation every time.
  • The Micro has a gauge-less design that will automatically cut off at 72 psi (the max pressure for today’s hookless rims.) Ensuring safe inflation for expensive parts. Think of the micro more as replacing co2.
  • Versatility for All Riders: Whether you’re a road cyclist, mountain biker, or gravel rider, the Elettrico is compatible with Presta and Schrader valves, plus it is compatible with any Silca Chuck like the Schradero and Hiro Chuck.
  • Long-Lasting Battery: The Elettrico’s high-capacity, USB-C rechargeable battery provides enough power to inflate multiple tires on a single charge, ensuring you’re never left stranded. The Ultimate is equal to 9+ co2 cartridges and charges in about an hour, whereas the Micro is equivalent to 3+ co2 cartridges and charges in 20 minutes.
  • Big Power Lesser Noise: Designed specifically for noise and vibration reduction the Elettrico comes in about 4db lower than the rest. When a chuck is added it’s even lower.
  • Durable and Reliable: Built with SILCA’s renowned commitment to quality, the Elettrico is crafted from custom extruded and CNC machined aluminum to withstand the rigors of cycling adventures, all while dampen noise and dissipate heat.
