The titanium Solace Cycles OM-1 was just updated with refreshed geometry for better downhill handling, more bottle mounts, and clearance for longer dropper posts. Find photos, specs, and more here…

Designed in New York State, the Solace Cycles OM-1 is a versatile and capable titanium hardtail mountain bike. According to Solace, it’s meant to climb just as well as it descends, and it has some promising features, such as clearance for 27.5 x 3.0″ / 29 x 2.8″ tires, short chainstays, adjustable rocker-style dropouts, and the potential to run 140mm-160mm travel forks.

The OM-1 just received a notable redesign that Solace claims makes it even more capable on the descents without sacrificing any of its climbing abilities. Changes include a 0.5° steeper seat tube angle on the size small and another 0.5° with each increase in frame size. The reach numbers have also been altered to accommodate that change, increasing by between 40mm and 60mm, depending on the size.

A third bottle mount has been added to the downtube, the main triangle frame bag mounts have been removed, they’ve added a bent chainstay for increased heel/crank arm clearance, and they’ve shortened the seatpost extension for longer dropper post capabilities. They are also using a stiffer 1.4/1/1.4 titanium butted downtube to compensate for the longer bike.
