Celebrating 38 years of innovation, the new SRAM Eagle Transmission 1987 Collection is a limited edition set of T-Type Ecosystem in an exclusive silver finish. Take a closer look here…
It’s almost comical how many silver components have been popping up over the last year or so. We’ve seen countless brands release limited edition silver variations of some of their most popular products, from dropper posts to chainrings and complete drivetrains, so it’s no surprise that SRAM is getting in on the action. The new SRAM Eagle Transmission 1987 Collection is a celebration of 38 years of innovation, featuring a unique combination of T-Type Ecosystem components in an exclusive silver finish. As SRAM puts it, this is “the dream delivered.”

The collection includes a curated mix of T-Type Ecosystem components, including the XX SL mountain bike cassette with an extra 25 grams shaved off, a power meter X0 T-Type crankset, a hybrid XX and XX SL AXS derailleur, a flattop T-Type chain, and AXS Pod Controllers.
There are subtle details throughout, including handwriting from SRAM’s founder, Stan Day, and the unique groupset serial number (only 1,987 groupsets were made). SRAM is also including 32T and 34T chainrings, a chainring removal tool, a four-battery charger, and two AXS batteries to keep your parts running.
The full drivetrain costs $3,499 USD and is available now at SRAM.com.
