The new State Bicycle Co. Monster Carbon Fork v2 features a flip-chip dropout for rake adjustment, has clearance for 27.5 x 2.4″ tires, and costs just $299. Learn more here…
The latest iteration of the Monster Carbon Fork from State Bicycle Co. builds on the original released in 2020. It was launched alongside State’s 6061 All-Road gravel bike and is also an upgrade for their 4130 All-Road and 6061 Black Label All-Road or separately for your next gravel bike project.
The new State Monster Carbon Fork v2 maintains many of the features found on the original, including three-pack mounts on both fork legs, a full carbon steerer tube, and a 12 x 100mm thru-axle, but it adds additional versatility with a flip-chip-style dropout. The flip-chip provides two dropout positions that effectively set the rake at either 49mm or 55.5mm. The 49mm offset is optimized for trails and rough gravel. The 55.5mm offset increases stability and smoothness on fast gravel roads or bikepacking. The increased offset lengthens the wheelbase, providing enhanced straight-line stability for smoother roads.
The State Monster Carbon Fork v2 has an axle-to-crown length of 396mm (49mm offset) or 404mm (55.5mm offset), weighs 510 grams (18 ounces), and has a maximum load of 25 kilograms (55 pounds). It has clearance for up to 27.5 x 2.4″ or 29 x 2.2″ tires in the 55.5mm setting and 27.5 x 2.3″ or 700 x 55mm in the 49mm setting.
The State Monster Carbon Fork v2 costs $299 and is available to purchase on its own or added onto any of State’s gravel bikes. Learn more at StateBicycle.com.
