Introducing the Stayer Groadinger OMG

We’ve been eagerly following the development of the new Stayer Groadinger OMG for some time now, and we’re excited to share some major updates from the UK-based bike manufacturer. The new Groadinger OMG is Stayer’s first fully custom mountain bike, complete with individual sizing at no extra cost, made-to-order production, and delivered directly from Stayer.

Here’s how Stayer describes the OMG: “The idea is that anything you can think to do with 3″ tyre clearance and a no-suss frame can be done with the Groadinger OMG. If you want a big rig for long distance off road touring then we can do that with the OMG. If you want a hardtail with a short wheel base for chopping down the local trail then we can do that with the OMG. So it’s your mountain bike, what are you gonna do? It comes in mullet or 26’er or dropbar with fenders or trail rider, or long distance monster, steel fork feels or carbon for the win, whippy and bouncy, sturdy and looooong with racks, bags and buckets and places to keep your boat or board and so on, and so on.”

• Tire Clearance (rear): 3.0″ (26″, 650B, 29er or Mullet geo available on request)
• Bottom Bracket: 73mm BB shell options
• Yoke: Custom yoke CNC Machined out of 4130 steel by the mighty Bear Frame Works and designed by the one and only Hulsroy.
• Hub Spacing: Boost or Non-Boost
• Seatpost Diameter: 30.9mm or 31.8mm seatpost diameter options with dropper routing
• Eyelets: Wherever you want. Rack/mudguard/flag mounts you specify
• Tubing: Columbus & T45
• Head Tube: 44mm straight head tube unless preferred otherwise
• Construction: TIG Welded

Raoul’s custom short wheel base Groadinger OMG

This is Raoul’s third bike from us. What a legend. And what a bike. Here are some slightly out of context on tarmac shots from a last-minute setup before it rolled its way to Raoul and the slopes and steeps of Stroud in the shire. This is the first iteration of our OMG swb frame with 3” yoke designed by Hulsroy Cycles and machined by Bear Frame Supplies. Tapered Paragon Machine Works head tube and stainless Syntace dropouts and super tough powder by Aurum Finishing with Spray Bike splatter intended to wear and be reapplied throughout the life of the bike to create an accreted and textured surface of 90s fluro fabulousness.

Some classy component choices and a set of super STAYER 29er rims on DT 350s with reflective decals make for a stylish and smart dropper ready ridgid build that we are chuffed to have been able to deliver to Raoul as the first of the commissioned STAYER OMGs in the wild. Stayer offers five house finishes (rAw rAw, Swamp Dip, Chillymanilly, How Now, and Appelblauwzeegroen) or a single RAL colour powdercoat of your choice with black or white decals. You can also organize a custom design with a painter of your choice with a RTP (ready to paint) frame. The OMG is offered as a frameset (frame and fork) and includes an ENVE MTB rigid fork or Stayer Stiff As Fork, Hope Tech seatpost collar, Hope Tech headset, and retails for £2,450 (£2,041.67 without tax). The frame-only option costs £1,995 (£1,662.50 without TAX). On full builds and rolling chassis options, Stayer is offering a 10% discount on wheels ordered at the same time.
