The Tailfin HydroMount is a new offering from the British brand that gives users greater flexibility in attaching water or cargo to their bike. For more on this new mount, check out all the details below…
Launched today, the Tailfin HydroMount is a small, versatile mount that lets riders run water bottles and cargo cages anywhere on their bike without the need for bottle bosses. Using Tailfin’s signature V-Mount design, the soft TPE rubber works well on a variety of tubing profiles and protects finishes from abrasion. The HydroMount uses standard, 64mm bottle cage mounting holes and is compatible with most cages on the market. It also features molded, threaded inserts for durability, bottom-out protection for the bolts, and it comes with all the necessary straps. To date, it’s one of Tailfin’s most approachable products and a great addition to the growing list of ways to attach water bottles and add cage mounts to your bike.
The HydroMount is available in two iterations: Base and Full. The Base model comes with two straps and has a load capacity of 1 kilogram, while the Full model uses three straps and has a load capacity of 1.5 kilograms. The Base costs $28 (£20), and the Full mount is $35 (£25). Consistent with all their product releases, Tailfin has created a fun and interesting way to introduce the HydroMount through the video below:
