The European-made Ten07 Unicorn is a light and nimble steel cargo bike that features a unique quick-release platform, allowing it to fit into narrow spaces for storage once riders and their precious cargo are back home. Learn a little about the Dutch brand and their first bike here…

Winner of the “Best Cargo Bike” award at last year’s Bespoked Handmade Bike Show in London, the Ten07 Unicorn is a lightweight and compact cargo bike from Ten07 Cycles of Haarlem, The Netherlands, that’s designed to be a capable hauler without taking up all the space that’s typically associated with cargo bikes.

Their flagship bike’s proposition is that it looks like a cargo bike, rides like a normal bike, and features a quick-release platform that enables it to break down into a more compact package in seconds. Not having the room to store a cargo bike creates a barrier for many folks who could otherwise benefit from having one for hauling groceries, gear, pets, or kids around town or on tour, and the Ten07 Unicorn seeks to solve that problem.

Designed, produced, and assembled in Europe, Ten07’s Unicorn is built entirely from chromoly steel, and a complete medium build weighs in at around 20 kilograms (44 pounds). It has front and rear thru-axles, a 27.2mm seatpost, a 68mm BSA bottom bracket, and will clear 55mm tires up front and 60mm tires in the rear, both with fenders. Its spacious 800mm x 500mm (31.5″ x 19.6″) platform quickly and easily separates from the frame via a simple twist-off mechanism. The Unicorn is available in three sizes (small, medium, and large) to fit riders who are 153 to 195 centimeters (5’0″ to 6’5″) tall.
