Paul Components and Sierra Nevada Brewing have teamed up with The Roam Collective on an extra special bike to help celebrate and elevate diversity in mountain biking. Learn about The Sierra Roamer and how you can win it here…

For the seventh year in a row, Sierra Nevada Brewing asked Paul Components to build up a one-off custom bike to show off at the Sea Otter Classic, then raffle it off to raise money for a non-profit. This year, they’ve partnered with The Roam Collective—a nonprofit organization with a mission to celebrate and elevate representation in the mountain bike community.

This year’s bike was made by B Vivit at HotSalad Bicycles and is a “modern tribute to mountain biking’s original dirt crusher and advocate for women in cycling, Jacquie Phelan, and her historic bike, Otto.” It’s a whacky blend of old-school charm and new-school tech, including a handmade titanium frame and fork from B, SRAM Transmission, drop bars, cloth bar tape, and a Hite-Rite saddle dropper.

The HotSalad Bicycles frame is swoopy, elegant, has custom anodizing, and is topped off with a custom titanium LD stem. Jen Green whipped up a beautiful handmade headtube badge using copper, brass, bronze, and nickel. The build is finished with a bunch of top-shelf components donated by White Industries, PAUL Component, Velocity USA, Simworks, Ultradynamico, King Cage, Forager Cycles, and WTB.

The Roam Collective will be at Sea Otter this week in Monterey, California, and they’ll be hosting some rad inclusivity panels, Shredtalks, and meetups. Keep an eye on their Instagram to learn more. Paul will also have a booth setup if you’re looking to drool over some fancy US-made bicycle bits.

Head over to the Roam website anytime before May 16th, where every $5 you donate gets you an entry to win this totally unique bike and help make mountain biking a more inclusive and fun culture for everybody.
